Songsterr Tabs & Chords App Reviews

It really helped me

Im 18 months into learning the drums. Im sure Id be more advanced if I had found this earlier.

Multiple speeds

The app is good but I think there should be more than just half and full speed, perhaps a sliding bar that changes the speed of the song. This would allow you to learn to play faster while playing more correctly. I feel like many other songster users would appreciate this feature too.

Not bad!

Could be cool

Seems like it would be great to use but u less you pay for a subscription its useless. Hate subscription apps.

Waste

The app is a waste unless your a member. You do not get to view more than a second of tabs. Waste of time and space

Great tabs

The have great tabs. Accurate and user friendly

Great App well worth the $ to me

Makes learning music including your favorite songs much much easier ! A must have in my opinion.

Great app

Worth the five bucks.

Not a Free App

What is presented is great, but it only plays the first 30 notes or so before you have to pay a monthly fee to see the rest. Dont call it a free app when its not.

Good app

Enjoy playing with this good song selection hope to see it grow

I am a self taught guitarist

I have been playing for 20 years. I can tell you a single note. I have been playing by ear all along. This app has helped me with songs that I only learned half the song. I can type in just about any song and Ba boom there it is! Great App and fun too! Makes a great gift as well !

Its great! But......

Its not worth $5 a month. Just use their website, its free. Also, most tabs are pretty accurate but some are not even close.

Great app, needs more/better bass charts

Its a great app -- I love seeing the Tab motion and the library of tunes is extensive. My complaints are threefold: First, support for bluetooth phones is lacking, in that theres no compensation for the delay (so the audio is a half beat or so behind the visual). Second, there are not as many bass tabs as Id like. Finally, an option for standard notation would be a great addition.

Is this a joke?

Im not cheep by any means. I have spent a lot of money on ultimate guitars bells and whistles to get the app how I like it. But if you buy the app you can have every tab as part of the initial purchase. I download this "free" app and get one and a half bars of tab before it tells me I have to pay $5 a month. $60 a year for user made tabs that arent even right!!!! How does this business model even work? Their "preview" was a bar and a half of emptiness because the guitar part starts late into the song so I got absolutely nothing. Had the app long enough to write a review and delete it. This should be flagged as a scam. Ultimate-guitar works on safari for free if you dont want to pay for this app. Dont bother with this app.

Mostly good but expensive

So far, I like it a lot. Im not sure if Ill like it enough to keep up $5 a month. For one thing, these are not necessarily correct tabs. Other things Ive noted: Some songs have the tabs and the chords and lyrics, others dont. Some of the tabs sheets also show the chord over the tab, others dont. The songs have a Play mode on the tab sheet, which also means the page scrolls, whereas there is not a Play mode on the chords sheet, which also happens to be the lyrics sheet, and so there is no way to make the chords/lyrics sheet scroll while you play. After youve saved some Favorites, that list get long, and theres no way to save set lists or multiple lists of any kind. Theres only the Search list of all songs, and your one list of Favorites.

Are you kidding?

I paid for this app years ago and it was good for getting an idea of how to play a song. Some tabs were correct, most tabs had stupid mistakes in them and some were totally off like they were playing a completely different song. Now you want to charge $5 dollars a month for mediocre tabs. I hope this proves to be the nail in your coffin. That fate will serve you right for getting greedy. Goodbye.

Too expensive

I could understand paying a one time of maybe $25 up to maybe even $50. But $5 a month is kinda ridiculous. No one is going to use this often enough to justify the cost. Better off spending the money on lessons :)

Great app

Been using this app and their website for years. Not every song is correct, but it is still one of the best resources out there! Its easy and fun so for what it is I love it and have enjoyed it. I recommend it to everyone beginners to experts.

Best guitar tab app Ive ever used

Been playing guitar for about 25 yrs and this is by far the best way to deliver guitar tab that Ive ever seen. Very cool.

So close!

I find the app a great companion to play along with, or to learn songs with. But I think it would be perfect if there was a 3/4 speed option.
